Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Shri Mamata Banerjee, has launched a flagship program called the Nabanna Scholarship Scheme. This scholarship scheme was launched with the poor and economically backward students of the state kept in mind. The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Scholarship is offered to students pursuing PG courses from Class 10. In the North Bengal region of West Bengal state, this scholarship is known as the Uttarkanya Scholarship, and the people of South Bengal know the scholarship as the Nabanna Scholarship. Eligible students who complete the scholarship application process will receive a financial package of Rs 10000 annually.

Nabanna Scholarship Program Eligibility Criteria ?
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal state.
- The student must pursue their studies in any recognized institution in the state of West Bengal, and the student must have passed their final examination from a recognized institution and the Council of West Bengal University.
- A cumulative GPA between 50% and 53% is required for undergraduates.
- For higher secondary 12th degree, those who have completed the Madhyamik (Class 10) examination with 50% and 60% marks are eligible.
- For (UG) graduates, an aggregate score between 50% and 60% is required in the Higher Secondary (Class 12) examination.
- Students should not be availing of any other scholarship to avail of the scholarship.
- The student’s annual family income should be below INR 1.20 lakhs.
